We've got a speaker lined up to speak on "How Open Source Transformed 3D Printing".  When he gave this talk to a more skills-diverse group, he spent a fair amount of his talk just going into what 3D printing is, the different types of 3D printing (stereo-lithography, fused deposition modeling and selective laser sintering), etc.

He wondered if a technically-inclined audience like CINLUG would find that too introductory.  I know that some of you 3D print, but my estimation is that most of the CINLUG audience does not and may find that part of his talk informative.  Thoughts?

Is there anything in particular about 3D printing you'd like to see him cover?
