I'm happy to say that we've been blessed with people willing to present for the rest of 2025 with these (subject to change) speakers:

August: Ben Breard on bootable containers

  September: Neal Gompa on Btrfs

October: John Scott on End Of 10. (Special meeting to help people
install GNU/Linux on machines that Windows 11 will not
work on, what with Windows 10 reaching end-of-life. Help
is needed -- please start a new mailing list thread if you
            can help!)

November: Chen Chiu on how Open Source changed 3D printing

December: Michael Schultheiss on Home Assistant

(This year our speaker list has been a bit Red Hat-biased. That is not on purpose; we just draw from the people & organizations that we know. We would ***love*** to have more speakers from SuSE, Ubuntu or other distros! Please help us find presenters; send an e-mail to education at cinlug.org if you want to present or know of someone who might!)

I also want to thank Tim & Marc who suggested future meeting topics. This topic list includes:

+ Setting up security cameras that tie into a GNU/Linux GUI back-end.
(It is my hope that Michael's December talk with `scratch that
itch` -- but I also know we have some members [Doug M. and Joe G.]
that use other tools like ZoneMinder. Please start a new thread
on this mailing list around that topic!)

+ How to get started with GNU/Linux application development.
(This suggest did not go into what kind of application [C/C++,
Java, Perl, Python, etc.] -- so the sky's the limit. Again,
please e-mail education at cinlug.org if you or someone you know can
speak on this or want to flesh the idea out a bit.)

+ A follow-up to October's End Of 10 topic: what do you do on the
2nd day now that you have GNU/Linux installed?!
    - What are the key things to do/master after install? A
      CINLUG-sourced checklist would be helpful.
    - What are CINLUG members' storage and backup strategies?
    - What are CINLUG members' favorite Linux apps? What would a
      former Windows user use for:
        MS Access,
        MS Publisher
        Winamp
        Spotify
        Amazon Music
        DVD Shrink
        Handbrake
        Printer's Apprentice font management
        etcetera
     - Related to this, how do you run Windows applications in
       GNU/Linux?
     - Related to this, how do you run Windows 11 as a virtual machine
       under Linux?

+ Secrets to buying hardware affordably
Are there any good choices in PCs / laptops to go with for
    GNU/Linux, or ones to avoid?
Related: are there any distros that are good for supporting the
most hardware, and for easy installation for new Linux users?
(I note that we had a "home lab" talk back in May 2023. Maybe it
    is time for another??)

+ Is anyone tinkering with AI agents who would like to share examples of
    what they're doing?

+ Raspberry Pi projects members have made

If you have more topic ideas or know people who might be willing to speak on the above (or other topics!), please e-mail education at cinlug.org.
