Some additional data on using Jitsi Meet for tonight's event:

WebRTC uses JavaScript, so you will need to allow that it to connect. 
The hosting company says it does not resell information, nor does it use 
Google Analytics, if you are concerned about tracking. You also do not 
need to accept the offer to add calendar integration.
