[Announce] May 4, 2005 CINLUG Meeting at EDS

The May meeting of CINLUG, the Central Indiana Linux Users' Group,
is scheduled for 7PM on Wednesday, May 4, 2005.  The meeting is being
held at EDS (9795 Crosspoint Blvd, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN
46256-3348).

Anyone is welcome to attend the meeting.  There will be door prizes and
a presentation by Dr. Ram Rao of Hewlett-Packard on the Xen virtual
machine monitor.  Xen is a virtual machine monitor for x86 that supports
execution of multiple guest operating systems with unprecedented levels
of performance and resource isolation. Xen is Open Source software,
released under the terms of the GNU General Public License. The Xen team
has fully functional ports of Linux 2.4 and 2.6 running over Xen, and
regularly use it for running demanding applications like MySQL, Apache
and PostgreSQL. Any Linux distribution (RedHat, SuSE, Debian, Mandrake)
should run unmodified over the ported OS. For more information on Xen,

CINLUG meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month 
They start at 7:00pm and the presentations usually last
about 1 - 1.5 hours. The meeting is usually followed by an
open discusion for any questions you may have about anything.
