*5 minutes* is all we need from you at the February 4th meeting!  That night, we hope people will share some of their favorite or underappreciated command line utilities.  It is simple:

1. Pick a utility[1].

2. Let us know which utility you picked by joining & sending an e-mail
   to our discussion mailing list.[2]

3. Come (in-person or online) to the February 4th meeting prepared to
   talk for just 5 minutes on the utility.  During the meeting, we'll
   let you share out your desktop while you talk about the utility.
   If you want to show a few slides, then great.  If you want to show
   your terminal and walk us through the utility's usage, then great.
   It is up to you!

   Some information you might want to cover about your utility (but
   not required) is:
     + any interesting history about it
     + its purpose / why you find it so useful or interesting
     + its common or especially useful options when running it
     + example output

That's all!  You sharing *just 5 minutes* on a utility that you find interesting or useful will be a big benefit to us all!




[1] There are literally hundreds to choose; run this command on a RPM-
    based distribution:
      rpm -ql coreutils util-linux | grep bin | sort
    ...or this command on a Debian-based distribution:
      dpkg -L coreutils util-linux | grep bin | sort
    Although you are encouraged to share about one of those standard
    utilities -- if you feel strongly about another command line
    utility then please feel free to pick it!
