Thank you.  I may borrow one of your sticks during the meeting to give Ubuntu a try!  (If no one else is "in line" for it, of course.)

I'm not sure how many (if any) new people will be at our October meeting wanting to install GNU/Linux on a machine.  The person who was going to advertise our meeting at:

...and kind-of run with this topic at the meeting apparently now cannot.  I, just recently, sent the information for our October meeting to be included on that web page, but it apparently takes awhile to get included.

SO PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!

I plan to give a demo of shrinking a Windows installation to make room for GNU/Linux and then installing it.  If there is anybody who wants to install GNU/Linux on their own machine in attendance, then we'll of course help.  But otherwise, I figured we'd talk about the "what to do on day 2" of using GNU/Linux... as Tim requested earlier this year:
