Potential topic: Desktop security

I've been seeing more and more warnings about linux desktop
vulnerabilities. I've turned on my firewall (ufw) and any other suggestions
I've read.

Is there anyone that can give a comprehensive presentation on linux desktop
security?

In lieu of that, is there an awesome checklist somewhere?

BTW, can't wait to see everyone again next month. I have a conflict that
hits sporadically otherwise I would be there for every meeting.
