[OT] Volunteer needed

In addition to serving on the CINLUG Board of Directors, I'm also on the
board of Software in the Public Interest, a 501(c)(3) umbrella
organization that holds assets for a variety of FLOSS projects including
Debian, Gallery, PostgreSQL, OpenOffice.org and several others.

SPI's PO Box is at the Castleton post office and I need someone to
volunteer to regularly check the PO Box (once every week or two would be
sufficient) and get the mail to me (SPI Treasurer). The current mail
clerk has accepted a position that will require him to move out of
Central Indiana relatively soon so I'm seeking a volunteer to replace
him. The reason I can't replace him is because we've separated the mail
clerk and check depositing roles to prevent wrong doing and to provide a
second set of eyes should a donation be misplaced.

The current procedure is:

1. Mail clerk checks PO Box
2. Mail clerk and treasurer meet up at Castleton Kinko's to copy
donation checks and do the mail transfer

I imagine a similar procedure would be continued with the new mail
clerk. The new and current mail clerk will also need to meet at the
Post Office to transfer keys and access rights at the start of the role
change as well.

If you're interested in volunteering, please contact me at

Thanks,
Michael
