     Well, unfortunately I didn't have time to go through all the docs;
if I did, I wouldn't have sent the e-mail out to the list!  :-)  But, in
exploring the Tomcat/Jakarta installation we have, I found a
subdirectory of the management console that I could stick a file in:

/opt/jakarta-tomcat-5.0.28/server/webapps/manager/images/testfile.html

and I could browse to it via:

<https://server.example.com/manager/images/testfile.html>
