[Announce] February 2026 CINLUG Meeting -- Command-Line Tools Micro-Talks

Last month, Mike Slattery introduced us to a new generation of command-line tools.  However, there are so many of the `old` tools that we decided for February that we wuld have a series of micro-talks about some of our attendees' favorite or little-known-about ones!

So come to our Wednesday, February 4th meeting to hear abut them.  The meeting starts at 18:30 (6:30 PM) EST.

But don't just come to listen... come *and participate*!  We're still looking for a few more people willing to spend *just 5 minutes* telling us about an interesting or useful utility.  There are literally hundreds from which to choose; run this command on a RPM-based distribution:

  rpm -ql coreutils util-linux | grep bin | sort

...or this command on a Debian-based distribution:

  dpkg -L coreutils util-linux | grep bin | sort

...to see the list.  (If you'd rather talk for 5 minutes about a tool not in those lists, then that is fine, too.)  Just let us know[1] which one you want.  These commands have already been taken and CINLUG *greatly thanks* Joe, Max & David for already volunteering:

CINLUG also thanks Moser Consulting[2] for hosting our meetings at their facility[3].  (There will be a phone number at the entrance to call to be let into the building.)  The meeting will be simultaneously broadcast over this Jitsi Meet URL[4] for those who cannot attend in person.  (Though in-person attendance is encouraged.  *After the meeting, we plan to go to the nearby Red Robin restaurant for drinks and camaraderie!*)

CINLUG meetings are the 1st Wednesday of every month, so please block that night off in your calendar to keep it available.  You are also encouraged to sign up for our mailing lists and to follow us on our various social media sites[5] to receive announcements and participate in discussions.
