[Announce] Techpoint's Open Source for Business Peer Group Meeting - 11/17/2004

The Open Source for Business Peer Group provides a forum to bring
together interested parties to discuss issues surrounding this emerging
trend in IT, sharing information about how, where, and why these
solutions are changing the way that IT needs are being met across a
variety of businesses.

Where:		IUPUI Informatics Center, Room 407

		The IUPUI Informatics Center is located at the SW corner
		of Michigan and West streets in downtown Indianapolis.

Topics:		The Open Source Software for Business peer group's next 
		meeting will feature two presentation topics:

		Beowulf Cluster Computing - Member Frank O'Brien will
		give us a high-level overview of Beowulf Cluster
		computing. This presentation is a definition of sorts,
		the type of overview you might want to give management
		to introduce them to the subject.  As always, there will
		be time for Q & A.

		Bleeding Snort and Snort Signatures - Member Matt
		Jonkman will cover the Bleeding Snort Project -
		www.bleedingsnort.com. Bleeding Snort is an aggregation
		point for Intrusion Detection Signatures, research, and
		new ideas. Matt will also cover some of the basics of
		how to deploy snort, how to write signatures, and what
		kinds of problems you should consider snort to solve.
		The discussion will be very interactive, please bring
		your questions and Matt will steer the discussion
		towards your interest.
