What is MySQL? Well, here's what mysql.com has to say:

The MySQL database server is the world's most widely used open source
database. Its ingenious software architecture makes it extremely fast and
easy to customize. Extensive reuse of code within the software and a
minimalistic approach to produce functionally rich features have resulted
in a database management system unmatched in speed, compactness,
stability and ease of deployment. The unique separation of the core
server from the table handler makes it possible to run MySQL under strict
transaction control or with ultrafast transactionless disk access,
whichever is most appropriate for the situation.

At the March 6th meeting, CINLUG will be electing directors for the
2002-2003 term. Nominations for officer elections were held at the
February meeting and run as follows:

    * Sek Chai
    * Don Hale
    * Rob Hood
    * Steve Hunger
    * Mark Lesh
    * Michael Schultheiss

As we still had a 7th board position open after the nominations meeting
in February, we have been collecting names of volunteers to round out the
nominations list. In response to that call, Steve Raymont has expressed
his interest in filling the remaining seat on the board.

CINLUG meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month.
They start at 7:00pm and the presentations usually last
about 1 - 1.5 hours. The meeting is usually followed by an
open discusion for any questions you may have about anything.

Annual dues are $30 collected each March and prorated throughout
the year. Paid membership is _not_ required for attendance, but
encouraged to help with funding events and expenses. Just show
up and find out more to see if you want to become a member.
